Toll collection for the passage bridges Motalabron, Sundsvallsbron, Skurubron, and Øresundsbron connects the city of Malmö with the Danish capital of Copenhagen. The congestion tax is collected for entry into the cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg. The toll for all sections, except for the Øresundsbron, is charged via a free-flow system with automatic toll collecting based on registration plate recognition.

The Øresundsbron is an 7.85 km long bridge that, together with the 4 km Drogden Tunnel connects the city of Malmö with the Danish capital of Copenhagen. The toll gate is located on the Swedish coast in front of the eastern part of the bridge.

Congestion tax for entering the cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg

There is a congestion charge for entering the cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg. The price is calculated according to a timetable with different rates throughout the day. The maximum amount per day and vehicle is SEK 135, or SEK 105 during the off-peak season for Stockholm, SEK 60 for Gothenburg. The charge is not applied between 18:30 and 6:00, and on certain days, such as public holidays and during July. The charge is automatically collected via vehicle registration plates, with invoicing via autogiro or e-faktura, for vehicles with foreign registration via Epass24.

Road toll for vehicles from 12 t and more

For vehicles of 12 t and more, there is an obligation of pay tolls for the use of the Swedish road network. The toll is paid via the Eurovignette, which is time-based and priced according to CO2 class, Euro emission class, number of axles and length of validity with options day, week, month and year.
