Toll information for Denmark - bridges with toll collection, low emission zones

Toll for the passage Øresundsbroen and Storebæltsbroen, toll can be paid with a credit card, cash, via the onboard unit or with a ticket purchased online in advance. In the five largest cities, low emissions zone rules apply. Vehicles entering these zones must be registered in the Danish LEZ system and must meet the emissions class limits.

The Øresundsbroen is an 7.85 km long bridge that, together with the 4 km Drogden Tunnel connects Copenhagen with the Swedish city of Malmö. The toll gate is located on the Swedish coast in front of the eastern part of the bridge.

The Storebæltsbroen connects the islands of Zealand and Funen. The bridge has two parts, the higher east bridge, which is 6.79 km long, and the lower west bridge, which is 6.61 km long. The toll gate is located on the eastern part in front of the bridge on Zealand Island.

Low emission zones in the five largest cities

The vehicle must comply with the rules for entering the low-emission zones in the cities of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Odense, Aarhus, and Aalborg. You can use an online validation check to clarify that your vehicle meets the requirements and then fill out the registration form for legal entry into the low-emission zones.

Toll for vehicles of 12 t or more

For vehicles weighing 12 tons or more, tolls apply for more than 10,000 km of Danish road network. The toll prices depend on the weight and emission class of the vehicle. The price list and toll road maps are available on vejafgifter.dk.
